Your dog will be transported either in our dedicated Company for Dogs van or one of the vehicles of our staff. All vehicles are air-conditioned to ensure all dogs in our care are comfortable.

  • Company for Dogs van

    • Our van complies with the Animal Welfare Codes of Practice – Companion Animal Transport Agencies.

    • Air conditioning is running at all times. Additionally, we take every effort to minimise the time in the van.

    • All dog crates are fitted with rubber matting for comfortable transport. Additionally, all crates are cleaned and disinfected regularly.

Our dogs needs don’t change just because the weather does. If the weather turns bad (rain or high temperatures) sessions are still on, but may be adjusted so as not to compromise the health of your dog. We may move session times, locations, or if we believe it is too dangerous, we may cancel the scheduled session and look to rebook when your dog is not at risk.

Company for Dogs is fully insured and all staff have been police checked. If you would like a copy of these, please don’t hesitate to ask.

In addition to this, we will post photos of your dog to our Facebook / Instagram pages so you will know not only that your dog has been out, but will also see exactly what your dog has been up to.

Doggy Playgroup Sessions

Please see our price list for information on costs.

Company for Dogs is a mobile outdoor playgroup service. Dogs in our care are taken to one of the many leash free dog parks around Brisbane. Different parks are selected on a daily basis depending on the dogs in our care and their needs.

Please note though that we only use fully fenced, secure locations as a minimum criteria for the selection of parks to visit.

Pickup and drop off depends on the service you have selected, and whether you have requested a morning or afternoon session. Due to changing schedules, traffic and other things that crop up from time to time, we are unable to guarantee pickup and drop off times. If you have a requirement where you need to know approximate timings, please contact us to discuss.

The meet and greet assessment is a very friendly meeting that takes place in your home or an agreed meeting area. The assessment is very simple and will review how your dog interacts with a member of our staff. This is simply to assess your dog’s suitability for our playgroup sessions, and ensure that they will get along with the other dogs in our care.

Every dog in our care is the most important thing to us. We have a responsibility to you and every dog in our care that all of our dogs are suitable for daycare. It’s nothing personal – everyone has to go through the same tests.

Company for Dogs will try and match your dog to sessions and other dogs in our care. If we can’t do this, then unfortunately our playgroup sessions won’t be suitable for them. In this situation, we would recommend you consider dog walking services or a home visit. We hope you understand that we have a responsibility and duty of care for all of the dogs in our care and to other dogs in the dog park.
